This is a lovely little hotel and very popular. It's in a good location for easy access to everything - beaches, restaurants, attractions, etc... and is literally minutes from the airport and with some gorgeous beaches just a short walk away.

Facilities

There's a lovely pool and the rooms are colourful and spacious and are all air-conditioned and have en suite shower room. There are 3 room standards to choose from so you can choose something to fit your budget. A restaurant serves excellent food from breakfast to dinner.

It's run by an English/Trini couple, Paul and Linda Mountjoy, who have built a terrific reputation for their hospitalty - having 20 years' experience of running a small hotel/inn in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, UK. This is a beautiful, classic hotel, set amidst an old sugar and coconut plantation and fondly known as the 'Grand Old Lady of Tobago'.

Facilities

Mount Irvine offers conference hotel standard services and facilities, has a well-known restaurant and championship 18 hole golf course set amongst palm trees and overlooking the sea. The hotel pool is enormous - one of the best on the island and has a lovely swim up bar pool. The staff at this hotel are wonderful, so friendly and typical of Tobagonians. It's a wonderful place to get married or honeymoon. The rooms are large and cool, with mahogany furniture and the most wonderfully comfortable beds.

Other Information

Just over the road is a tiny but gorgeous beach with little grass parasols and a beach bar that serves terrific gin and tonics. Food served at the beach bar is very reasonably priced, and can be brought to your beach chair on a silver tray if you so please.

There's a fully stocked watersports hut nearby where you can hire a snorkel and mask to make the most of the fabulous snorkelling just feet away from your beach towel. And if you don't play golf - you can still enjoy the tranquillity and elegance of this lovely hotel.

Arnos Vale Hotel, Arnos Vale

This hotel is a Tobago classic. It has history, character, a stunning location, superb snorkelling and diving, a superb and secluded beach, and incredible wildlife displays. Afternoon tea will never be the same again.

The hotel has a lovely pool and bar with a quiet beach and a bay that has some of the best snorkelling on the island. Just dip your face in the sea and wonder at the sights of angel and parrot fish, orange tube sponges and pink corals.

This hotel has charming hillside cottages available that are part of the complex and facilities. Princess Margaret honeymooned here in the 1960's, and The Beatles have been guests here.

In a stunning setting, tucked away amongst ancient tropical rainforest and sits above the edge of a Caribbean bay with indigo and turquoise waters teeming with sea life.

Arnos Vale is synonymous with bird watching, and from any point in the hotel you can view some of Tobago's 210 species in close up. The hotel is Italian in style, with a stunning dining room.

As you check in at reception, you can't fail to notice the seemingly tame birds that fly around the hotel and eat from the many calabash feeders hung out by staff. At 4pm each day it's feeding time. And what a spectacle it is. Bright blue grey Tanagers, tiny hummingbirds and green and red Mot Mots provide a stunning display.
